Save the date for October 2, 9:30 am -- special speaker! Dennis Okada was a double black belt in martial arts as well as an expert diver with over 30 years of experience. He won the national championship in spearfishing and was at the top of his game. One day he was tank-diving 150 feet below sea level off Rabbit island and miscalculate his time by mere seconds and came up too quickly. Dennis got the bends, a decompression sickness-- suffered a spinal cord injury and would never walk again.

In the over 20 years since Dennis has grown his faith through his challenges and disappointments. Save the date to hear his story and see some of his art on Saturday, October 2nd, at 9:30 am over zoom as he speaks to our Wellspring 'ohana about "Persevering through the Valley of Discouragement."
