Serving at Wellspring
Livestream Team
Our heart is to experience God’s transformative presence in impactful ways. It’s our hope that Wellspring’s livestream team (which includes our worship band, audio team, multimedia, and film crew), will encourage, equip and empower our church family & friends to better connect with God. Whatever your experience level is, we’d like to know more about how we can partner with you in how God is calling you.
Prayer and Comfort Team
At Wellspring, we believe care is shared within and beyond the community in relationship-oriented ways. Rather than being a committee or a group of supposedly hyper-spiritual people entrusted with praying for the rest of the community, Wellspring’s prayer and comfort team (PACT) seeks to come alongside our fellow journeyers in organic ways. In our reflecting, listening, and yes, praying, we seek for the healing and wholeness of the Father, Son and Spirit to more fully reside in and flow out of us to others. Whether it’s praying with, being a listening ear, or providing a hot meal, we seek to show and share God’s love and aloha.
Benevolence Ministry
We know life in this pandemic has changed for so many people. Times are hard right now in new ways. Over the past 9 months, we’ve been a food distribution site offering free produce & eggs regularly. These days we’re doing what we can to help provide support for families whose children are going to school online. F.L.O.W.
We see all of life as an invitation to move with God’s love and desire for the renewal and reconciliation of our world. Whether locally or globally, we intentionally look for ways to join the mission of God. Sometimes this means partnering with believers in other parts of our island or in other countries needing partnership or resources to reach new friends. Sometimes this means being sent ourselves to be stretched and to learn from how God is moving in the Majority world. We are a praying community who wants to share what it means to do life with God— sharing food, our stories, resources, the good gospel along the way.
Kids’ Day
For many of us, Kids’ Day is a highlight of the year, a special Saturday morning at the Women’s Community Correctional Center (WCCC) in Kailua where we facilitate meaningful quality time between incarcerated moms and their children who come to visit.
Wellspring has been planning and hosting Kids’ Days at WCCC at least three times a year for over a decade. We've gotten to know many incarcerated moms in meaningful ways, seen their children grow up, and —more importantly— made precious bonding time between moms and their kids possible.
Hospitality Team
At the very core of the Gospel is hospitality and Wellspring seeks to embody that truth. Creating a welcoming environment for every single person is something we love to do.
One of the most delicious ways to engage in hospitality is the sharing of food as a community. From after-service potlucks to a celebration bbq to breakfast treats at sunrise, the hospitality team will be there with open arms.
